use small home wired network (ethernet gigabit) where one WinXP machine is used as Internet router and gives ip adresses to connected clients (other windows xp clients).
I wish to add wifi extender (DLink) to this network using utp cable. After I connected this wifi extender to gigabit switch using utp cable everything works fine, so I can browse network resources of this wired network by android tablet.
Problem arises when I wish to restrict network access to unauthorized wifi users. In fact, my wifi neighbours can browse folders on my wired network easily. Precisely, I wish to enable only authorized wifi user to browse my network.
How to solve this issue? I thought about filtering users based on ip address of my wifi extender.
